The Fire Department in Châteauroux orders its second RescueRunner through Fire Technologies
Safe at Sea's distributor in France, Fire Technologies, has received a new order for one RescueRunner from the fire and rescue service in Châteauroux (SDIS 36). It is the fire and rescue service's second RescueRunner.
The fire and rescue service in Châteauroux (SDIS 36) ordered its first RescueRunner through Fire Technologies at the beginning of 2026. They have now chosen to expand their capacity with an additional system. The system will be used in the shallow and demanding conditions in and around the Indre River, which flows through the city.
The RescueRunner was originally developed by the Swedish Sea Rescue Society (SSRS) to enable effective rescue operations in shallow and inaccessible areas where traditional boats cannot operate.
The order is a further step in Safe at Sea's growth in the French market, where Fire Technologies has previously also received an order for two RescueRunner systems from the French Civil Defence.
"When a customer chooses to order a second system, it is the clearest confirmation we can get that the RescueRunner works in their operations. We are pleased with the trust from SDIS 36 and with the great work Fire Technologies is doing in the French market," says Lukas Brehm, Vice President and Head of Sales at Safe at Sea AB.
Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2026.
The order value is approximately SEK 500,000.
