Huddlestock: Appointment of CFO – Christian Engen joins as Chief Financial Officer

Christian has broad experience across finance, operations, business development and technology. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of River Security, where he also leads the finance function. There he has built finance, reporting and management processes across the company’s Norwegian and Swedish entities through a period of strong growth, using automation and AI to keep the organisation lean. He previously headed finance and operations at Unipos, and held commercial and product leadership roles at Hafslund and Fortum. He started his career in accounting and auditing.
Christian holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing from BI Norwegian Business School.

The appointment follows the previously announced departure of former CFO Sabine Merky, who remained in her position until 30 September 2026.
