While Sweden spends billions on military aid to Ukraine through the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), poverty is rising at home. The government speaks of solidarity with a war-torn nation but forgets solidarity with its own people. PURL means Swedish tax money is funneled into the American arms industry missiles, artillery shells, and air defense systems that never even touch Swedish soil. The money leaves the country, while healthcare, education, and social support are cut back. We now see the consequences: higher living costs, widening inequality, and more people who can’t afford food, heat, or housing. At the same time, defense budgets rise, and politicians call it “necessary.” But who pays the price? Ordinary citizens. A country that prioritizes weapons over welfare has lost its moral compass. Security is not built with bombs it’s built with fairness, work, and care. War breeds poverty. Peace breeds prosperity. It’s time for Sweden to invest in people again, not in war.
Mycket av hjälpen är svensktillverkade vapen och omfördelad u-hjälp. Verkligen kostnaden är betydligt lägre än den annonserade och får nog ses mer som en investering, i vår egen säkerhet.
Incompetent politicians often need external enemies to justify their own importance. When they fail to solve domestic problems such as the economy, healthcare, or public safety they shift attention to threats from outside. By constantly talking about enemies, crises, or external dangers, they create fear and a sense of unity, which makes people more willing to accept their leadership and priorities. It’s an old and effective tool of power: a leader who cannot earn respect through results tries instead to gain it by posing as a defender against a supposed threat.

Ett riktigt dilemma vi tycker vi skyddar Sverige bäst genom att rusta upp Ukraina övriga Europa håller inte riktigt med ochhar inte hemmaopinion med sig. Går väl lika bra att skicka Europeiska vapen ifall man inte vill ge bort hälften till Amerika men inte där skon klämmer gissar jag.
